On September 19, 2026, Venture X LoDo will host The Failure Ball at Dairy Block.
If you have never heard of it, the idea is simple. It is a black-tie event centered around the stories people usually do not tell. The missed opportunities, bad ideas, failed launches, wrong turns, and everything that comes with trying to build something.
The event brings people together to talk openly about those moments, have a little fun with them, and raise money for mental health support in the process.
The Failure Ball is a nonprofit event that celebrates failure instead of pretending it never happened.
Speakers take the stage to share stories about things that did not go according to plan. That could be a business idea that fell apart, a pitch that completely missed the mark, or a decision they would make very differently now.
The point is not to turn failure into some big inspirational lesson. It is really just about being honest about the fact that everyone gets things wrong sometimes, including people who seem like they have everything figured out.
The night itself is part gala, part storytelling event, and part fundraiser. Guests dress up, grab a drink, hear some very real stories, and help support mental health resources along the way.
Proceeds from ticket sales benefit To Write Love on Her Arms, a nonprofit that supports people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
A big part of The Failure Ball is making it easier to talk about the things people usually keep to themselves.
There is a lot of pressure, especially in business and creative spaces, to only show the wins. The Failure Ball takes the opposite approach. People talk about the projects that failed, the choices they regret, and the times things simply did not work out.
Sometimes hearing someone else say that out loud is enough to make your own setbacks feel a little less isolating.
Coworking spaces are full of people building businesses, starting new projects, changing careers, and taking chances on ideas that may or may not work.

The Failure Ball takes place on September 19, 2026 at Venture X LoDo in Dairy Block, located at 1800 Wazee St., Suite 300 in Denver.
The event is black tie, with glitter encouraged.
