Taylor Stewart, who works in sales and business development for Callbox Storage in Dallas-Fort Worth, works at Venture X Dallas Park Cities Callbox Storage is a full-service storage company and Taylor also oversees sales reps in Austin, Houston, and Phoenix.
We asked Taylor some questions to get to know her a little better and learn about the journey that she’s been on, career-wise.
· What made you want to get involved in this line of work?
Callbox Storage founders met me when I was working as a business development rep for a residential title company. They approached me to join Callbox Storage, and 4 months later, I was a member of the team. I saw the opportunity to be able to work for a young company, that I knew would be a market disruptor, and never looked back!
· What has been the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is getting to help people and be their advocate through the entire process of using Callbox Storage.
· What’s the biggest challenge that you have faced in business and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge I face is that there was not a person in this position before me; there were no guidelines to follow. I think, as a young company, we overcome this every day by working together, communicating, and putting processes in place.
· What business tips would you like to share with others?
1. Always continue to grow.
2. Listen more than you speak.
3. Be open to others’ views and opinions.
4. Ask your team for help when you need it.
· What has been your favorite part about working at Venture X?
My favorite part about working at Venture X Dallas Park Cities at is being able to meet all of the wonderful people from staff to other members! COVID-19 has kept me from the office, and I miss seeing everyone. We have been members since the space opened!
A Personal Look at Taylor Stewart
As we got to know more about Taylor, we asked her about who has inspired her and she shared that her grandmother has been the greatest source of inspiration for her. She went on to add, “She has been a real estate agent longer than I have been alive, and still is a top producer in Dallas. She works hard for her family and does everything with a smile. She is one of those people who lights up a room and makes everything better. I strive to be like her every day.”
In her spare time, Taylor enjoys the outdoors and explained that being close to the water brings her life. She also enjoys spending time exercising, painting, and reading but most of all, she loves to be around her friends and family while enjoying some good food and red wine or an occasional cocktail.
