At Venture X LoDo, we’re surrounded by companies solving complex, high-stakes problems. LightTable is one of them.
Led by Co-Founder and CEO Paul Zeckser, LightTable is bringing speed, precision, and intelligence to one of the most expensive and overlooked challenges in construction: preconstruction and design review.
Construction peer review today is slow, manual, and fragmented. A typical QA process can take 3 to 6 weeks and still miss critical issues, contributing to over $200B annually in rework across the industry.
At the same time, the stakes are rising. Construction costs have increased more than 50% in the past five years, leaving little margin for error.
Even more fundamentally, the industry often treats QA/QC as a box to check rather than a strategic investment. Reviews happen too late, cover too little, and are measured by completion rather than what they actually catch.
LightTable replaces traditional peer review with an AI-driven process that analyzes entire project document sets in days instead of weeks.
The result is faster, more complete visibility into project risk before construction begins.
On a large mixed-use project, LightTable identified a critical coordination gap: generator louvers shown in mechanical drawings were not reflected in architectural or structural plans. No one had defined how they would actually be built into the façade.
That gap ultimately led to the exterior wall being reopened in the field, a generator failure, a fire, and sprinkler deployment, resulting in a $371,935 change order.
This was just one of 69 design errors LightTable identified on that project, totaling $4.32M in preventable change orders.
LightTable is already working with leading developers and contractors on complex, high-value projects, including multifamily, commercial, and data center developments.
“I deal with Palantir, I deal with a bunch of people in the large language model business, and I have yet to see an outcome that is actually taking my existing data and showing me something possible versus just asking me for better data. They have made something unique and better than anybody else.”

Advancements in multimodal AI make it possible to analyze thousands of pages of drawings and specifications simultaneously, something no human team could realistically achieve.
LightTable combines that scale with licensed AEC reviewers, ensuring every finding is validated and actionable.
LightTable is best suited for large-scale projects where complexity and risk are highest.
Their ideal customers include:
These are teams that need objective visibility into document quality before breaking ground, especially when managing multiple projects at once where manual review cannot keep up.
Since launching in October 2024, LightTable has grown to a team of 18, scaling alongside its customer base.
Venture X LoDo has supported that growth by providing flexible, professional space that evolves with the team. As their headcount and project load increase, having room to collaborate in person without operational friction has been a meaningful advantage.
The long-term vision is to become the intelligence layer behind global real estate development.
