Located on the I-85 corridor, halfway between Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, Ga, Greenville, SC is the largest city in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson Combined Statistical area and was the fastest growing city in the US between 2015 and 2016. These companies are supported by and support many colleges and universities in the Greenville area, including Furman University, North Greenville University, Bob Jones University, and Greenville Technical College. Greenville also hosts Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research campus and the University of South Carolina’s four-year School of Medicine Greenville is located at Greenville’s Primas Health location. The former Donaldson Air Force Base now houses Donaldson Center Airport and is home to Lockheed Martin’s aircraft and logistics center, in addition to 3M and Honeywell operating facilities. Additionally, General Electric’s gas turbine, aviation and wind energy manufacturing operations are located in Greenville. However, it’s not all business in Greenville.
