· What made you want to get involved in this line of work?
I started Bit-Lever in 2016 with the idea that modern cloud-based systems produce huge amounts of data, but rarely make that data actionable and consumable. We built a gamification and business intelligence platform that makes this data easily consumable and uses that data to drive incentive-based competitions.
· What has been the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Our gamification platform is dedicated to increasing engagement in the workplace. It is enjoyable to help our clients create and drive energy into their teams.
· What’s the biggest challenge that you have faced in business and how did you overcome it?
The hardest challenge for any small company is finding new clients. We’ve found that word of mouth is the best way to get a new referral.
· What business tips would you like to share with others?
Don’t chase every flashing light! Whether it’s a new offering or a client that doesn’t really fit with your brand, move on. Being in the software business, this can be very tough for our team. You have to be very picky when trying to choose your direction; winning in business is being the absolute best at what you do. If you are a jack of all trades, but a master of none, then why should someone give you their time?
· What has been your favorite part about working at Venture X?
Flexibility. Venture X is perfect for a young business. We have team members all over the country, so having the flexibility of a flexible workspace takes the stress out of a long term, rigid lease. The team in Palm Beach Gardens does a great job and they always have a smile on their faces!
A Personal Look at Andy Schrider
Andy shared that his greatest inspiration comes from the success of technology companies that push the envelope. He went on to elaborate, “The companies that are aggressive in their aspirations without fear of failure and quite often expecting it. Those leaders that move fast and break things are what inspire me to reach further.” When he’s not working, his world is consumed by his family. Andy shared that he and his wife have two young children and they enjoy spending time on the beach. He said “we live a short walk to the beach in Jupiter, Florida. Nothing is better than being on the beach after a day of staring at a computer screen!”
