Venture X is a designed office space company created for today’s professionals of all industries. It offers fully furnished private office suites, meeting rooms, and virtual offices without required leases or long-term contracts.
Pulse 2.0 interviewed Venture X owner and franchisee Dimitrios Topaltzas to learn more about the company. Topaltzas launched Venture X Columbia East, which is a shared office space in Columbia, Maryland that provides flexible workspace solutions for professionals and businesses of all sizes.
Dimitrios Topaltzas’ Background
Topaltzas has been an entrepreneur for most of his career in the wireless telecom industry. “I exited from a successful start-up that I founded a little over 10 years ago and have been mostly focused on investing (angel and private equity) since then,” said Topaltzas.
Establishing A Venture X Franchise
Topaltzas came across the Venture X franchise while visiting Naples FL. “After visiting the Naples location I felt strongly that this business would work well in Maryland. In many ways, Venture X is a business that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses by creating the workspaces they need to grow their businesses. I’m investing in creating spaces that the future start-up (Venture X) will utilize to launch their business,” Topaltzas reflected.
Challenges Faced
What were some of the challenges Topaltzas faced in building the company and has the current macroeconomic climate affected the company? “There’s a great deal of up-front work and investment that goes into launching a Venture X…finding the right location, negotiating the lease, becoming a franchisee, designing the space, constructing the space, and finally hiring the staff and deploying the system to operate the space,” Topaltzas acknowledged.
Core Products
What are Venture X’s core products and features? “We provide modern, flexible workspaces that fit every budget. From Private Offices to Shared desk space, to virtual mail plans. The greatest benefit for our members is being part of a vibrant community; getting to share facilities with a diverse group of people and companies,” Topaltzas explained.
Customer Success Story
When I asked Topaltzas about a customer success story, he replied: “A company headquartered in Canada is expanding its cybersecurity presence in Maryland and started with small office space in Venture X Columbia. They recently hired more staff and observed a positive uptrend in business potential expanded into an additional and larger office that can also accommodate private collaboration space.”

When I asked Topaltzas about related milestones, he noted that in 3 months they have leased about 30% of the space.
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates Venture X from its competition? “Greater focus on modern workspaces, community, hospitality, and concierge level services,” answered Topaltzas.
Future Goals
What are some of your future company goals? “To leverage the community we build to help our members grow and operate their businesses and network among the members,” Topaltzas concluded.
