Coworking in Greenville, SC

Located on the I-85 corridor, halfway between Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, Ga, Greenville, SC is the largest city in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson Combined Statistical area and was the fastest growing city in the US between 2015 and 2016. Long known as the “Textile Capital of the World,” over the past few decades Greenville’s favorable wages and tax benefits transformed the city into a powerhouse of foreign company headquarters. Notable companies include Michelin, AVX Corporation, Ameco, Southern Tide, Confluence Outdoor, Greenville Health System, Concentrix, Cleva North America and Scansource, along with Hubbell Lighting subsidiary of Hubbell Incorporated. The International Center for Automotive Research established CUICAR as the new model for automotive research, in 2003. The Center for Emerging Technologies in mobility and energy, that hosts several companies in cutting edge R&D;, opened in 2011, as well as Sage Automotive headquarters.

These companies are supported by and support many colleges and universities in the Greenville area, including Furman University, North Greenville University, Bob Jones University, and Greenville Technical College. Greenville also hosts Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research campus and the University of South Carolina’s four-year School of Medicine Greenville is located at Greenville’s Primas Health location. The former Donaldson Air Force Base now houses Donaldson Center Airport and is home to Lockheed Martin’s aircraft and logistics center, in addition to 3M and Honeywell operating facilities. Additionally, General Electric’s gas turbine, aviation and wind energy manufacturing operations are located in Greenville. However, it’s not all business in Greenville. The city is home to a vibrant visual art tradition started by the Greenville County Museum, that houses the Andrew Wyeth Collection. A variety of artists operate galleries and studios, especially in the Village of West Greenville near the city’s downtown and the Metropolitan Arts Council and Upstate Visual Arts promote the arts with First Fridays Art Walk, Greenville Open Studios, and the West Greenville Arts Festival. If you’re looking to grow your company in a city that is poised for commerce and community, Greenville might just be your answer.
